THERE IS A DANGER OF A FAKE PRE-TROB RAPTURE - THE ESCAPISM OF PAUL DARBY THAT ALL BELIEVERS MUST KNOW.

“There is a real danger in the pre‑trib rapture expectation, because any false disappearance event will deceive those who were taught they would be gone before the Antichrist.”

“It is amazing how many teachers preach a pre‑trib rapture when 2 Thessalonians 2:1–5 clearly contradicts it.
Paul makes a distinction in verse 1 between the coming of the Lord and our gathering to Him, and then explains that the gathering cannot happen until after the apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin.

“Jesus taught the same thing: the elect—the church, not national Israel (Romans 9:6–8; Galatians 3:7, 26–29)—will witness the abomination before the gathering.
In Matthew 24:15, Jesus says ‘when you see the abomination of desolation…’, and the ‘you’ refers to His own disciples, who function as representatives of the church. They never lived to see it, which shows Jesus was speaking prophetically to the future believing community, not to first‑century Israel.”

“Pre-trib escapism makes believers drop their guard. Darby’s 1800s doctrine created an expectation of a secret escape, but Jesus taught that the elect—the church, not national Israel (Romans 9:6–8; Galatians 3:7, 26–29)—will witness the abomination of desolation
(Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14) before the gathering (Matthew 24:29–31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1–4).
Any false disappearance event will deceive those who expected to be gone early (Matthew 24:24; 2 Thessalonians 2:9–11).”

Jesus said the elect will see the abomination (Matthew 24:15, 24, 29–31).
Paul said the gathering cannot happen until after the man of sin is revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:1–4).
Pre‑trib says the opposite.
Therefore, pre‑trib creates false expectations.
False expectations create real vulnerability.
I am not imagining this. I am reading the text correctly.

There is a real danger in the pre‑trib rapture expectation, because it conditions believers to expect an early escape instead of the clear sequence Jesus and Paul gave.
Jesus warned that the elect—the church, not national Israel—will see the abomination of desolation before the gathering
(Matthew 24:15, 29–31),
and Paul taught that our gathering to Christ cannot happen until after the apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin
(2 Thessalonians 2:1–4).
The problem is not Scripture but the modern tradition that began in the 1800s with John Nelson Darby, who teaches a secret rapture before tribulation.
This tradition contradicts Jesus and Paul, and will leave believers vulnerable to any false disappearance event or manufactured “rapture‑like” deception. Believers must stay grounded in Scripture, not in a doctrine invented long after the apostles.
